Nomad Steps is a tour operator and tourism agency based in Porto. It was founded in 2019. It resulted of its founder's passion for Portugal, its people, culture and history, nature, architecture and especially, food and wine.
The mission of this agency is to welcome visitors, make them feel at home and help them explore this beautiful country, live their stay in Portugal to the fullest and create wonderful memories for life.
In this company, we practice the concept "from people to people". We put love in everything we do.

Hello! I'm José and I have a genuine passion for presenting the best of my country to those who visit us.
Those who spend a day with me will have the opportunity to embark on a journey through one of the oldest countries in the world, which has some of the most beautiful landscapes, one of the richest histories, and some of the best wines in the world.
During my college years at the University of Coimbra, one of Europe's oldest and most renowned universities, I welcomed foreign students, offering guided tours in Portuguese, English, Spanish, and Italian. I showed them iconic landmarks like the Joanine Library and the Sé Velha, fostering friendships that last to this day. After Coimbra, I spent nearly a decade in Rome, perfecting my Italian and studying theology, religious art, and political science. Back in Portugal, I spent four years in the Douro Valley, specializing in wine studies with a leading producer. Since 2023, I've been proud to be part of the Nomad Steps project.

Proficient in multiple languages (Portuguese, English (TEFL certified), Spanish, Italian, and French) and armed with a solid marketing background, I am dedicated to elevating your tourist experience to an exclusive level.
